If someone happens to have "extra" Guild Wars Collectible Pins (such as the ones given away at San Diego Comic-Con, GenCon, or PAX), I'd be happy to get 'em.

I had not been intending to go to Gencon this year (and still won't), but were I going as an attendee, I would surely have have joined this Guild Wars Sealed Deck event. (They don't call it Sealed Deck, but I sure do.)

The essence is this: It's 4v4. Each team is given a set of 64 randomized skill cards to build their team.

( That's mostly it (for currently known information, and mostly the relevant part besides). )

The preview event for Factions (the next stadalone version of Guild Wars) was last weekend. I spent most of my time playing Alliance Battles (mostly with my friend Mike, which helped). It was totally awesome. The short version is it's a ripoff of Battlefield (capturing control points, etc.). But why should I waste time writing about it, when ( Read more... )

Guild Wars is having another "preview" event, but this time their hook is that you need an invite from someone who already plays (in this particular case, that would be me).
